2019 has just begun, and already there’s so much to look forward to. Here’s some of them!
Eraserheads – Ultraelectromagneticpop! (TBA)
In a collaboration with Offshore Music and Sony Music Philippines, the iconic Filipino band’s debut full-length is finally coming to vinyl, in celebration of its 25th anniversary. Limited to only 2,500 copies, this edition was remastered by Grammy award-winning engineer Bernie Grundman, known for his work on records such as Steely Dan’s Aja and Michael Jackson’s Thriller.
The Japanese House – Good at Falling (March 1, 2019)
After four successful EPs, solo indie musician Amber Bain is finally putting out their debut full-length. As if that album art weren’t stunning enough, the expected 13 tracks will most definitely be amazing.
Kanye West – Yandhi (TBA)
Whatever you might think of Kanye, there’s no denying people are all ears for his ninth studio effort, which is speculated as a follow-up to his sixth one, Yeezus, thanks to that similar cover style. After a busy, controversial 2018, one can’t help but wonder what’s next for the artist.
The 1975 – Notes on a Conditional Form (TBA)
Expected to drop sometime this year, the follow-up to last year’s A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships is something we’re quite excited for. Considered part of the “Music for Cars” era, the first single from the record is expected to drop this February.
Bring Me the Horizon – Amo (January 25, 2019)
The band is constantly evolving. If you’re still anticipating a sound similar to that of Suicide Season, you’ll be in for disappointment. Keep your ears open with no expectations, though, and you’ll be in for a treat. Frontperson Sykes has stated this new record will be filled with surprises.
